The new building provides modern office space for the Foundation’s 185 staff members and, with its succinct architectural shape, is a landmark in the centre of Berlin. Its architecture combines a classical cube structure with a floating, fully glazed first floor that will function as a conference centre (seating around 300 people) for the many national and international events organised by the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
The new building complies with the strictest energy standards. In partnership with the Grammer Solar company, a photovoltaic array has been installed on the roof. For more information, please visit: www.boell.de/neubau
